How to Redeem a Steam Wallet Code

Whether you're topping up for a sale or gifting yourself some wallet credit, redeeming a Steam code is quick once you know the path. Here's how.

1. Redeem from the Steam client

1. Open Steam and log in to your account.
2. Click Games in the top menu, then Redeem a Steam Wallet Code (or go to your account page and select Add funds to your Steam Wallet).
3. Enter the code exactly as shown on your order and confirm.
4. Your Steam Wallet balance updates immediately — check the top-right corner of the client.

2. Redeem from a browser

You can also go directly to store.steampowered.com/account, log in, and click Redeem a Steam Wallet Code under your wallet balance.

3. A note on currency

Steam wallet codes are tied to the currency of the Steam account's region (for example, our EUR codes work on accounts set to a Euro-based Steam region). If your account uses a different currency, Steam will convert the value at checkout — the balance still credits correctly, but double-check your account's region before buying if you want an exact match.

4. Troubleshooting

"Code not valid" errors are almost always a typo — codes use only letters and numbers, no lowercase "l" vs uppercase "I" confusion if you copy-paste rather than retype. If a code is rejected as already used and you haven't redeemed it yourself, contact us with your order details.
